Based on the classic 1986 novel by Stephen King, and the 1990 Movie, comes an all new “It”. Directed by Andy Muschietti, “It” takes place in 1989 Derry, Maine, and tells a story of a group of outcast pre-teens knownas “The Losers Club” fight against the immortal, shapeshifting entity named “Pennywise the Clown” who is responsible for the disappearances of dozens of missing children in their small town.
The cast for this horror film classic is Bill Skarsgård playing “Pennywise” the clown, this isn’t his first film, he’s starred in Allegiant as Matthew. “It” is an entity that preys on children every twenty seven years, he has the ability to shapeshift, manipulate, and go unnoticed by adults. The character of “It” has been described as one of the scariest clowns of popular culture. The Losers Club is based on five preteens; Bill, Bev, Mike, Eddie, and Ben. The characters of the film face their own problems at home, such as abuse,loneliness, and even disorders,and phobias that soon will be conquered when fighting “It”. The 1990 film received a 6.9/10 rating on IMDb, and won the Primetime Emmy Award. Tim Curry played Pennywise, the shapeshifting being with various powers. Tim Curry’s’ “Pennywise” left the crowd with thrills and chills throughout the movie. The movie Stephen King’s It, which was originally a TV movie released in as a mini-series in 1990, is actually quite subdued by most horror standards. The violence is minimal, and there is little blood, yet tons of scares. It is also quite long (192min!), but keeps your attention especially in the first half. Later turned into an award winning and a considered classic. The new “It” movie brings larger thrills and chills. In it’s opening night brings the largest gross for a horror movie bringing in $13.5 million on opening night, and aiming at Third-largest preview. Already near 90% on Rotten Tomatoes “It” really takes a whole new turn this coming Halloween. After watching the film many people gave a BIG Thumbs UP! Positive feedback all around. The movie had a well balance of laughs, scare and thrills all around. Some even found the movie to be slightly more funny than scary. The “horror” clown gave comedic relief to the terrified fans and new watchers. Even author of “It” told News cast that It is his favorite film. The movie even gave many people more chilling and funny Halloween pranks to people of all. Many people have even tied balloons to sewer lines to pull pranks. Many have gotten creative and had a blast poting their friends or even their pranks reactions. Judged by his scary sinister clown look, It is a movie for all who enjoy a jump scare and comedic clown. Just remember to bring someone older than 18 in the theater before watching It.
